The special rate is listed under National Model Railroad Association and you need to mention the code NDM to receive this special discounted rate. The hotel will grant the special rate untill all but 50 hotel rooms are filled. So get them while you can... Ask to be in Building One--this is closest to the functions at the convention. $87 a night for a regular room or $139 a night for a railcar. Taxes are not included in these prices. The hotel was originally a train station that was built in 1909. Now it has been remodeled into a hotel, restaurants, and a shopping complex. It still has several railroad tracks with rolling stock, even railcars you can sleep in, and of course, the Chattanooga Choo Choo Engine. Come enjoy the gardens of the hotel, ride the trolley, eat, and shop right at the hotel's complex. There are also stain glass shops, old-time photo studio, arcade, HO Train Display, ice creamery, four restaurants, and a coffee bistro. It is also located on the free shuttle downtown loop, so take a ride and see our city. You may also want to take a romantic horse drawn carriage ride which departs from the hotel.
