For forty five years the Redstone Model Railroad Club has been an active center for model railroading activity in the Huntsville Alabama area. The club's HO scale Alabama Tennessee & Northern Railroad covers an area 20' by 42'. Through the years the club has enjoyed accomplishment and dealt with devastation. It has hosted four Southeastern Region (NMRA) conventions and was instrumental in starting Division activity within that region. It is a club that looks toward the twenty-first century with optimism and confidence.

AMROC is an organization of approximately 30 members who build and operate the G, O and S, HO, and N scale club layouts. Some members confine their efforts to one gauge; others participate in the construction and operation of several gauges. While we are here every Thursday night from 7:30pm tp 9:00 pm, the third Thursday of the month is our running night / open house. We are more likely able to run trains on that night. The first Thursday of the month is our business meeting from 7:30pm to 8:15pm. The second, fourth, and fifth Thursday of the month is work nights. We will be doing repairs and additions to the layouts. We can answer questions on any Thursday night.

Over 14,000 feet of 7-1/2 inch gage track located in the Maury County Park in Columbia, Tennessee. Adjustable unloading ramp, two transfer tables, car storage yards, two turntables, 25 steaming bays, water, and electricity. Most equipment operated on our track is one-eighth the size of prototype railroad equipment. This means the trains are a comfortable size to ride on, but not too big to transport. The engines weigh anywhere from 100 to 2000 pounds, and can pull from one to 50+ people, depending on size.

The stated objective of the organization is the formation and maintenance of a not-for-profit association for the purpose of promoting and practicing the hobby of scale and tinplate model railroading.
The club meets every Tuesday night throughout the year at 7:00PM in the Metrocenter location. (Upper Level, Centercourt, near the Elevators)
